House Rules

Event participation house rules apply to everyone, both visitors and competitors. In case of violation of house rules, TipiLAN reserves the right to remove the participant from the event and, if necessary, notify the police. In the case of an underage participant, we will notify their parents or guardians in case of serious house rule violations.
Participant Reminders
- Upon arrival, exchange your ticket for a wristband.
- Participants must be at least 16 years old. Ticket controllers may ask you for identification.
- The event will be photographed and filmed, and event content will be covered in various media channels.
- If you have TipiLAN-provided accommodation, notify us when exchanging your ticket for a wristband.
- If you bring your own computer, you will be guided on where to set it up when receiving your wristband.
Event House Rules
- TipiLAN 2026 will take place on September 11–13 at Tallinn University of Technology.
- Participation in the event requires all participants to comply with these rules.
- The event rules apply both in the event area and in all online environments related to the event, including social media comment sections and the official TipiLAN Discord server.
- Separate tournament rules apply when participating in tournaments.
- In the case of a violation of the event rules, TipiLAN reserves the right to remove the participant from the event and, if necessary, notify law enforcement agencies of the violation.
- In the case of a minor participant, we will notify the parents or guardians of any violations and, if necessary, also notify law enforcement agencies.
- Entry into the event area is only permitted with a valid pass or permission from the organizer.
- All participants must be at least 16 years old. The organizer reserves the right to request identification to verify age and to remove persons who do not meet the requirements from the event.
- By purchasing a ticket, the participant grants the organizer the right to photograph and film them and allows the use of photo, audio and video materials created during the event for the purpose of recording, reporting and marketing the event.
- Participants are obliged to behave politely and with dignity, respect other participants and follow generally accepted rules of conduct.
- TipiLAN has a zero-tolerance policy towards hate speech and discrimination, including but not limited to discrimination based on nationality, race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, appearance or age, and considers harassment, threatening, offensive or aggressive behaviour, as well as incitement to or approval of such behaviour, as a violation of the event rules.
- The participant is obliged to treat the building, inventory and furnishings of the event area with care. The participant is prohibited from damaging, soiling, rearranging property without permission, or removing items that do not belong to them.
- The participant is liable for and must fully compensate for any material damage caused.
- Each participant is responsible for the safety of their personal belongings. TipiLAN, MTÜ Lapikud and Tallinn University of Technology are not responsible for the loss, damage, or destruction of participants' personal belongings.
- If you find lost items, please bring them to the information desk immediately.
- Any unauthorized interference with the event's infrastructure (including electrical systems and network infrastructure), the use of dangerous or non-compliant equipment, and any disruption or abuse of the network, including intentional interference with the connections or devices of other participants, are prohibited.
- Smoking, including the use of cigarettes and e-cigarettes, is prohibited in the event area. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
- It is strictly prohibited to bring illegal substances, bladed weapons, firearms, explosives or incendiary substances, or any other items that may endanger the life, health or property of participants or other persons to the event.
- Underage participants are prohibited from consuming alcohol or using products containing nicotine.
- When purchasing alcohol, the participant is required to present a valid identification document upon request by the bar staff. Failure to present a valid identification document upon request will result in refusal of service.
- Participants are required to behave responsibly when consuming alcohol. Persons who are excessively intoxicated may be removed from the event and, if necessary, law enforcement agencies will be involved.
- Any form of gambling, whether for money or other rewards, is prohibited.
- The organizer reserves the right to make the final decision in all matters related to these rules.
